Director Shankar has expressed an open statement that he would have not come to his present position if he was not introduced by director Chandrasekhar his guru and also father of actor Vijay. It is a known fact that director Shankar is teaming up with vijay for the remake of hindi superhit three idots as Nanban. Shankar has also also told that he learnt a lot from actor vijay during the nanban project same like he learnt form director SA Chandrasekaran. It is also rumored that the next vijay film would also be with shankar and this time its not directed by Shankar but produced under his banner.
